What's your best post, and why should people read it?

Hope you guys have fun with this thread - I should be back to check and see what people post, and maybe link back to y'all with my own blog.

I'll link to my best post only after a few other people have gone.

This one: Why Livejournal Scares Me. I put a lot of research into that post.

Most of the rest of what I write is generally just personal stuff.

That's an excellent and very important post - I hope more people will read it for sure.

Hehe..ok, I'm not gonna play fair. I don't have a "best" post. I have the posts that I'm especially proud of, but those aren't the ones that people have been most active on.

I listened to an author at library conference a couple of weeks ago. He was asked which book he'd written he thought was his personal best. His answer was a lot like my line of thinking--"well, this one is my idea of my best, but that one is what all of you say is my best. So..read 'em both."

But, if I have to follow rules...here's a few I'm particularly proud of.

Hi Jayne -

I read the Synaesthesia post and enjoyed it. It tangled my mind for a bit, which was good to get me out of all that technical writing stuff. Sometimes you have to tangle up, so you can get untangled. Thanks.

Hi there -

I think this is a good customer feedback thing, because what I think is the best post, might be different than what my readers think is the best one. So, I thought I'd answer your question by placing links to the two most popular posts as reported by Google Analytics, and let you tell me which one is the best:

You guys do realize that while I'm happy for your participation, the more links you drop saying "this could be my best, or this could be my best," the fewer readers you will have. I'm not saying this to be mean, it's just the truth - more links mean more to click, and think about how lazy you can be when given tons to read.

My best post is on the Gettysburg Address and the problem of what conditions democracy must meet to be successful. I consider it an important post, but we do live in a world that thinks politics debased, so if you do read it I thank you for your consideration in advance.

Hello Ashok -

I read your post on the Gettysburg Address, and enjoyed it -- thanks. I left a comment there that questions how you seem to have reached a certain conclusion.

I also question here, your conclusion that the more links placed here means the fewer readers one will have. What evidence do you have to support that statement?

Yours -
Scott

I don't think more links = fewer readers in the slightest. Whether they choose to click a link or not isn't determined by how many links I supply. It's determined by whether or not they care to read what I've suggested.

Besides..if they click on even one, my numbers go up :)

My approved letter - Post http://spinergydude.livejournal.com/3157.html

This is the result of my complete understanding of all of my rights, the full understanding of how to best present my own medical evidence as to be able to go point by point with the top most Medical Director of an insurance goliath, and not only prove my medical necessity...

It also represents the fact that as a layperson even the medical director on the Board of Directors could not deny me once I shared the knowledge I had with him...

It would turn out I am actually expert at this, and knew way more than I ever gave myself credit for...

I also called the insurance company out on the non ethical issues, illegal issues, and others.... I did this not for me...

Because I would find one error made by the insurance company.... I would soon find out that no medical person ever read my information, the denied me my legal right to know how to appeal, they attempted to leave me living in my own human waste... Knowing all along they made the error, never had "proper" medical people touch my infromation....

4-25-08 I contact them by email... And http://spinergydude.livejournal.com/3157.html

Is the result of that. One appeal was used... 3 left... And nothing ERISA, the State, the Federal Government could do at this time for me... They could only help me once I used all appeals... That meant I would have to live for about one year in sub human condtions... As if I had been raped... I would be forced to feel so useless, full of shame, and hopelessness that I would not dare speak out....

If you thought SICKO was big...

Who many people do you think the entire US Medical Insurance System has made errors, missed imprtant issues, broke laws people never knew they even had.... From the time the system was created to now? This includes Medicare, and Medicaid as well as ALL medical insurance comopanies... It is not isolated to one.

I work at Strong Memorial Hospital University of Rochester where as a secretary for seven years I have been signing people in, and advocating for them... And, I have yet lost one appeal. I have helped thousands of people get the best, latest, most current leading edge just invented that day medical access... And, now I am fully disabled... What was not expected was my knowing all I do...

And, I cam translate all that boring stuff, technical, legal, medical, all of it into layperson speak so that the general public will fonally have the knowledge to decome EMPOWERED....

All the knowledge in the world is no good, if the people it is made for can not grasp it. If they can not relate, they will not learn it, if they do not learn it, they never knew it was even here for them...

Knowing that YOU might know someone disabled a child, baby, adult, teen, 38 year old like me, or someone elderly... They are in effect raped and forced into isolation. I know I fight to prevent myself from being left that way. And, I won.

Now, I will FOR NO MONEY to me write book(s) if someone will publish me who can also get them into bookstores, me in front of people, and in trade for that. I will give that publisher 100% of ALL money made. I will ask for nothing.

You see money will not fix my medical conditions. All of it in the world will not. Fine.

I will not allow my pain, my ADHD, my other medical issues be who I am. I will never, ever, never give up. Never.

Why I say this is bigger than SICKO... Think about how many people 98% of the working aged people in the US really is. This does not mean they work. Wheelchairs are not the only form of disability... Mental, emotional, medical that leave you looking normal, burned poeple, soldiers who are hit by a sound wave that turns the soft matter of brain to mush... Leaving them brain injured... Yet, they look fine, they appear normal...

Disability is far more diverse than the people like me in wheelchairs... Or those who might sound different than so called normal people...

And, worst of all... Everysingle day every 41 minutes another person joins the ranks of the disabled.... YES, every 41 minutes one more person of any age, any race, any dollar amount becomes a member of the club... And, that is when they need this infromation most, the familes, the loved ones, the people who will support them....

100% of the disabled population - only 2% knew these rules and laws and system. 5% May had the luck to find somone who could help them... And, that means 93% of the total disabled population has been left to suffer needlessly, due to errors, laws broken and more that all of the US medical Health Insurance Industry is fully aware of and they are raping these people in the name of profits...

Profits are fine... Not at the cost of human suffering, mental sanity, and life...

Now you know the real problem, and just how big it is...
If anyone that read this DOES NOTHING YOU ARE THE PROBLEM...

What does doing something mean? Post saying hi, make a link, tell people, contact the press and have them read my sight... I want to be interviewed...

You bloggers INTERVIEW ME.... I will lay it on the line...

For Aetna my medical insurance can attest... They have never seen or met anyone as determined as me... And, you will want to know... No one, and I mean no one will ever sell more books, or outsell me on this planet... So, whom ever decides to roll the dice on me... I will only promise.... Prepare for countdown....

The 33 million I made for a company in three weeks... For the fun of it, and helping 8 other people to beat me... They made 23 million...

Sam's Club food demo people will NEVER EVER TOUCH THAT AGAIN! I promise... I did that many years ago now... And, all I stated was:

No one will ever see anyone else sell as much as I can... As I sat in my first donated wheelchair...

Well... If you think Harry Potter sold books... Prepare for countdown.... That is all I am saying... No one can out sell my ability to connect with more people...

We all have gifts, mine is not writing, mine is connecting with people and insuring they find what they need... Well, now.... The provduct is something I fully know... And, it is timeless information...

I have contacted PBS... It will allow people to adapt to any health system... And, for fraud... Well let me just say it shows everything for what it really is...

SpinergyDude.LiveJournal.com where I am fully ABLED even if typing this takes all of my effort and a very long time....

I will not give up. And, I ask for nothing at all... Just the chance to work with people willing to help me succeed in producing a book or books.... And, the money I do not take, use it to pay for the books given to the needy for free...

I offer a fair trade to any publishing company who will help me... I ask to retain all rights to my works is all. And, that you are willing to get me infront of people in bookstores and such at your cost as I can not afford that... But, the return on the book(s) wil more than cover that... And, the Good Guy image you will get... Will send your profit into space...

Give me a chance... Gimpy and all... I will not let anything stop me...
